"Writing this book with my mom was daunting. In many ways, it was like coming out all over again. But it gave me an even more honest and close relationship with my mother so it was certainly well worth it." ─Robert Rave
"The underlying message of the book may be bookmarked by funny stories, but make no mistake, our goal was to get families talking so that they may eventually embrace one another’s differences."
─Jane Rave
After working in entertainment publicity for several years, Robert Rave finally decided to pursue his true passion of writing. He currently resides in Los Angeles, where he recently worked on his first independent movie, sold a television project to a major studio, and recently optioned a screenplay. He continues to drink cosmopolitans and write.
Jane Rave grew up in a small Midwest town, doing all the things you do in a small town: cheerleading, band, and church activities. She is the mother of three, grandmother of six and has been married for thirty-eight years. Jane lives in Illinois and still enjoys a cosmopolitan now and then.
Robert and Jane hope to open a dialogue for families that may face some of the same life-changing issues. Through the stories in Conversations and Cosmopolitans, the Raves shed light on how empowering it can be to live in the truth.
